Teen Cutting and Self harm combined with Adult cutting equals death. The lie has always been that those who cut themselves and self harm do not want to die but this is a lie. The self harmer may not even know that they are suicidal but they may be.
Recently it was revealed that in one of the largest studies ever conducted in Europe that over 1/3 of of those doing self harm and teen cutting wanted to die in Ireland. Adult cutting was also larger than expected. When will we wake up to the seriousness of self harm. This is deadly serious. This week a woman in florida commited suicide, she had been suffering from depression and was also an adult cutting; here are the facts from the Florida ABC news report:
Hutchinson spent time in and out of jail and hospitals, from a number of episodes of self-mutilation. Given her history, some believe Hutchinson had already dodged death several times.
Rick Anglin, Warden at the Bay County Jail, “I can tell you that the staff here have probably saved this same girl’s life many, many times. Sooner or later, they’re not going to get there on time.”
Sooner or later something is going to happen big! We are too laid back with the depressed and self harming . The teen cutting needs help, if you read these post on this site and just go back to your coffee then you are of no hope to the depressed and suicidal. Remember adult cutting is also growing.
